The trail 9 changed my motorbike life. Before the trail 9, I needed to use the Kriega OS 12 litre pannier setup for trips going over two days. The panniers are now side lined and replaced with this trail 9 backpack.

What makes the trail 9 different from any other backpack I have ever tried is the way everything feels so light. I can throw in 3.75 liters of water and clothes/amenities that can last a week. When I stop for lunch, I forget the backpack is even on.

This is very different from previous hydration backpacks I have tried, where even 1 liter of water felt like an inconvenience on my back.

The trail 9 can carry 3.75 liters of water (sold separately), which is a huge amount of liquid. It can also carry your clothes in a waterproof liner. To go even further into the realms of awsome, the trail 9 has expandable elastic strings on the outside. I use these to carry bread omelets, extra water if going into remote areas, and stash my motorbike parts when they fall off in crashes.

What is missing Jon?

I think it is possible to put a rain jacket in, but it would mean sacrificing the Haribo candy. For people wanting rain gear, you probably need the trail 18.
